Firefox extensions

Here’s a list of the Firefox extensions I use:

  • Web Developer - Indispensible if you do any sort of web design.
  • OpenBook - Automatically expands the bookmarks tree when you attempt to add a bookmark.
  • BugMeNot - Bypass compulsory web registration.
  • Context Search - Changes the “Web Search for” context item into a menu containing your search plugins. I like to add the Google Maps UK search engine. Then I can simply select a postcode in a web page, choose the “Google Maps UK” search engine from the context menu and get a map of the postcode area in a new tab.
  • PDF Download - Allows you to choose whether you want view a PDF file in the browser or download it.
  • Adblock - Filter out ads.
  • Spellbound - Spell checking in web forms from the context menu.
