CeBIT 2006
I spent last weekend working at CeBIT. Don’t let anyone tell you that attending trade shows is cushy. This was seriously hard work.
We had to drive for over an hour to reach the show ground from our hotel and we were on the stand from 8:30 until 18:00 so we were up at 6:00 every morning. I didn’t go to bed before 1:30 so I was seriously sleep deprived by the time I flew home on Sunday evening.
The site is absolutely massive (450,000 m2) and it’s impossible to see even a small percentage of what is on show. The scale is hugely impressive as is the organisation. We didn’t have to sit in traffic for more than ten minutes. An event like this would cause chaos in the UK I’m sure.
Hopefully something will come of the contacts my company made at the show.

I was going to pick up some beach balls. Until I saw the massive queue of kids trying to get their hands on one.
