Watched Chris play in Darlington before the Wales vs England game. New Brighton beat Darlington Mowden Park 22 - 32.

Haarlem and Amsterdam

Spent the weekend in Haarlem and Amsterdam visiting Geraint. Enjoyed sampling the local beverages and snack food (Broodje Haring - basically a raw herring in a bread roll). We even managed some culture.

Blanchland and curry

Visited Blanchland on the weekend. Rhian found directions on the web. Unfortunately the directions were to Blanchland Road in Washington. We got there in the end.Khan’s has always been my favourite Indian restaurant in Newcastle. It’s even better now they have new chairs and have expanded to upstairs.

Oslo

Spent the elongated weekend in Oslo. The highlight was The Vigeland Park, though the Gravad Lax was also excellent. The National Gallery and Maritime Museum were also worth visiting.

I was lucky enough to to be the recipient of my Uncle’s spare ticket for last nights football. It wasn’t the greatest game I’ve ever seen and the Referee was bloody awful. However, we did manage to secure a play-off place. The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic.

Wedding and SFA

I spent Saturday at the wedding of Rhian’s cousin. Had a great time though I managed to strain a calf muscle dancing!
