Belle & Sebastian and birthday

I went to see Belle & Sebastian on Saturday night at the (relatively) new Newcastle Academy. They were very good, excellent in fact. Stuart Murdoch has an amazing voice. Their new album The Life Pursuit is out on February 6th (NME review).

Farmers market and RABBITS!!!

I went to the Farmets market in Tynemouth yesterday morning. Picked up some pork belly, black pudding, stewing steak from a Dexter (I wanted shin but they’d sold out), some goats cheese and a rabbit.

A surprisingly good combination. The apples were from Rhian’s parents’ garden and were good and sharp. I had been given them before Xmas and I’d stewed and frozen them. The apple’s sharpness complemented the sweetness of the bananas perfectly.
