Costa Brava

Rhian and I spent a week chilling out on the Costa Brava.
Rene and Michael were kind enough to let us stay in their flat in Platja d’Aro. We also joined them for a days sailing on their boat which they keep in the attractive town of Palamós.

The Seagull

Last night we completed our cultural fortnight courtesy of the RSC with The Seagull at the Theatre Royal. A thoroughly enjoyable production, brilliantly performed, I didn’t need to keep pinching Rhian’s hand to keep her awake during the second half.

King Lear

Rhian and I went to the Theatre Royal on Friday night to see the RSC’s production of King Lear with Ian McKellen in the leading role. It was an outstanding performance with McKellen and William Gaunt, as the Earl of Gloucester, particularly impressive.
